Responsibilities:
* Primary role is to support surveying team in execution of field survey projects under the direction of a survey party chief.
* Operate survey equipment and instruments including but not limited to:
* Total stations
* GPS receivers
* Data collectors
* Drones
* Levels
* Keep neat and legible field notes and field sketches.
* Assist with other tasks that support the survey team including but not limited to:
* Equipment maintenance
* Getting supplies
* Document filing
* Computer tasks
* Client deliveries
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma Required.
* At least 0-5 years of relevant experience.
* Hand on experience with Trimble or AutoCAD highly preferred.
* Ability to travel out of town and overnight with all expenses covered.
* You may be asked to come into the Fort Worth office to assist a project manager within or out of the surveying department.
* Availability to cover overtime hours as needed.
* Basic mathematics skills are required, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.
* Must have a basic understanding of measurement. On-site job training will be provided as necessary.
* Must have a basic understanding of hand tools such as, but not limited to 3-5lb small hammers, 8-20lb sledge hammers, shovels and machetes. On-site job training will be provided as necessary.
* Good communication, writing, and organization skills necessary, including collaboration and coordination with senior staff and management and direction of support staff.
* Must be self-starting and willing to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* CST certified and interest in surveying is a definite plus, but not required.
