Survey Department Manager – Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all surveying projects and staff.
• Review project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and industry codes.
• Oversee staff training, safety, and performance development.
• Maintain and improve department resources, tools, and efficiency.
• Manage department budget, hiring, and performance reviews.
• Support business development by working with clients and presenting technical capabilities.
• Evaluate new project opportunities and contribute to company strategy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field.
• Ohio Professional Surveyor (PS) license.
• 10+ years of experience, with at least 4 in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in Trimble GPS, Total Stations, and CAD software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
