Who We Are…
Yukon Bureau of Statistics (YBS) is a branch of the Yukon Government in the Department of Finance. The Bureau helps governments, businesses and residents of Yukon make informed decisions with the provision of timely and reliable statistical information. YBS collects, analyses and publishes statistical information, and works on statistical research projects and data modelling.
YBS collaborates with and assists YG departments in providing professional expertise and support in data collection, analysis and statistical research. The Bureau also collaborates with Statistics Canada, other federal departments, and provincial/territorial statistical agencies on matters of mutual interest, and exchanges ideas and information with them.
The opportunity…
Yukon Bureau of Statistics is currently looking for dependable individuals with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service. As a successful interviewer, you will establish contact with survey respondents ensuring their eligibility, conduct face-to-face and/or telephone interviews with respondents to collect information using survey questionnaires, record responses into computer programs/databases, and maintain confidentiality of information. Your knowledge of interviewing etiquette will help you succeed in this position.

- Experience conducting interviews or working in customer service over the telephone or in person.
- Experience inputting numeric and textual data in computer programs with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience dealing with the public preferably with confidential information.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional Information
Job requirements : Shift-work (i.e. day, evening shifts).
Some travel may be required.
Remote work is not an option for this position, successful candidates must be physically present in Yukon.
