Survey CAD Technician Department: Survey/Geomatics Employment Type: Full Time Location: Raleigh, NC Reporting To: AJ Perkinson Description As the CAD Technician, you will be responsible for production of CAD deliverables as well as having knowledge of surveying and mapping principles. A candidate with experience with MicroStation, Openroads, Utility, and Scan Extraction experience is ideal. Your Primary Responsibilities will include * Keep up with current technology and changes to the software programs used. * Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed. * Analyze deeds and research materials for the production of the survey. * Utilize NCDOT or DRMP checklist throughout the performance of each project * Extracting linework and features from point clouds utilizing TopoDot software. * Willingness to learn. What you'll need * NCDOT experience is a plus. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Extensive technical knowledge of CADD systems; including MicroStation, Geopak, ORD, Civil 3D, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent organizational skills. * Excellent time management skills. * Attention to detail and working efficiently and accurately are necessary. * Join a collaborative team and contribute to the success of our projects. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
