As the Software Support Engineer - Manufacturing Solutions, you ensure seamless operation of critical software systems for semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and user support.
What you will do
You will be working in IMEC’s ICT department in the team for Manufacturing Software Solutions.
- You will be the first point of contact for software-related support requests, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them in a timely manner.
- You will continuously improve support procedures, tools, and the runtime environment to enhance efficiency.
- You will work closely with internal product teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- You will document, log, and track reported issues, ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders.
- You will support software deployment, configuration, and testing to maintain system reliability.
- You will participate in change management activities, including user training and go-live support.

Who you are
- You already have 2+ years of experience in application support or a similar IT role.
- You have basic programming skills (preferably with C#, TypeScript).
- You have basic experience with SQL Server and database query troubleshooting.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- You are well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with internal customers and technical teams.
- You are proactive and seek continuous improvement in processes and technologies.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
