Role Overview
As a Support Centre Officer, you will play a key role in supporting carers and clients during evenings, weekends, and holidays. You’ll handle incoming calls, document important information for follow-up, and make sure urgent calls are directed to the right services — all while delivering exceptional service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and triage incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency
Record detailed, accurate notes for follow-up actions
Redirect emergency calls to appropriate agencies (e.g., 111, 999)
Make courtesy calls to inform service users when carers are running late
Maintain excellent service quality and responsiveness at all times
Working Hours
We offer flexible shifts, including:
Monday to Friday: 6 AM – 8 AM, 6 AM – 9 AM, 5 PM – 9 PM, 5 PM – 10 PM
Weekends & Bank Holidays: 6 AM – 8 AM, 8 AM – 9 AM, 9 AM – 1 PM, 1 PM – 5 PM, 5 PM – 9 PM, 5 PM – 10 PM
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in care or administration (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Calm, effective problem-solving in urgent or stressful situations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with IT systems and documentation tools
Excellent professional phone etiquette and people skills
Flexibility, initiative, and dedication
Work Environment
Option to work remotely or from our office
Remote workers must have a quiet, distraction-free space for shifts
You are required to be present and fully available during shifts (except during scheduled breaks)
