Accountable for all Plant's supply chain activities. Follows commodity markets and bases all purchasing decisions based on market availability, seasonality, and company's product specifications. When appropriate, secures short-term purchasing contracts on opportunity buys. Manages the entire procurement needs of the plant and assists the Director of Plant Operations in managing the Plant's cost of goods to maintain it within budget.
Manages the commissary operations budget and personnel and ensures conformance with company standards. Ensures that all shipping and receiving is executed in a timely manner and that all paperwork is filled out and secured. Works closely with AP/AR in the execution of all paperwork. Rigidly executes Company's Safety policies and procedures. Responsible for the safety of all department personnel.
Through direct reports, manages all efficiency, planning & productivity of Procurement Department across multiple shifts and supports production operations with quality ingredients that meet established quality, customer service, safety, sanitation, innovation, and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies; implements work standards and maintains improvement through sustaining behaviors. Operating with discipline and rigor, oversees the procurement, storage, inventory, and replenishment of quality products to fulfill production requirements; Controls and effectively utilizes labor, equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to maximize efficiency; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability. Acts as a primary liaison between the Sales Departments and DC ensuring accurate and timely communication. Works closely with R&D team on innovation and development projects. Partners closely with support center procurement teams and buyer to leverage the company's overall supply chain resources for the Commissary. This position reports directly to the Director of Plant Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for all budgetary numbers of department.
* Under the direction of Plant's Director, manages the cost of goods and keeps it within budget.
* Interacts and communicates at a high level with other corporate directors and VP's and is responsible for meeting timelines and quality standards related to the departments under direct supervision.
* Responsible for the safety and well-being of associates.
* Supports the Food Safety & Quality Assurance programs and ensures that Plant operates at optimum conditions according to GFSI regulations & industry standards.
* Responsible for all warehousing, shipping, and receiving of raw materials and finished goods and ensures that all receiving, and shipping happens according to plan.
* Works in conjunction with Corporate Chef on executing all new product initiatives and ensures to communicate updates to Stores, Corporate & Staff when appropriate.
* Maintains a fulfillment ratio according to Industry standards not lower than 98.5%.
* Coordinates activities and communication with Sales Departments, Distribution Center, Support Center (primary POC)
* Collaborates with Support Center procurement teams (direct and indirect) to leverage supply chain resources for the commissary.
* Supervises Office Coordinator and Data Integrity Specialist.
* Ensures that all paperwork is sent to AP/AR in a timely manner and works closely with Finance to resolve any billing discrepancies.
* Works closely with Corporate Chef to develop all NGM product specifications. Maintains all specs current and up to date.
* In conjunction with Corporate Chef, are the ultimate authority to change or introduce any new product specification in system.
* Maintains Commissary Records (Reports)

* Establishes costing / pricing for all items utilizing the ERP system
* Sets regular cadence to updating costing / pricing
* Manages Recalls/Returns in conjunction to Food Safety

General Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensures all processes meet customer's specification requirements and always minimizes risk to the company.
* Deals directly with vendors and maintains a cordial relationship with all.
* Develop and monitor a continuous improvement methodology directed at improving performance in the departmental areas assigned, including productivity, quality, safety, attendance, sanitation, yields and cost reduction/control.
* Responsible for initiating and developing processes for monitoring, measuring, and reporting key performance initiatives within procurement, maintenance, and warehouse departments.
* Optimize new product development through the standardization of materials and process to insure repeatability. Consistently apply all Company Policies and Procedures.
* Ensures effective communications between all departments, i.e., Quality Control, warehousing, human resources, sanitation, maintenance, etc.
* Directs and coordinates with team members, (i.e., supervisor and operators) all product changeovers.
Qualifications:
* Must have strong leadership skills.
* Must be HACCP Certified.
* Must have a very strong Customer service commitment and an intricate knowledge on Northgate Market culture.
* Must have critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills and be able to work independently or in a team environment.
* Proven management and leadership skills to orchestrate complex large-scale projects and fixed budgets.
* In depth knowledge on Supply chain management.
* Ability to establish and use metrics and continuous improvements processes to drive up performance.

* Must have Supervisor experience and knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques.

Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor's degree preferable but not a must.

* Bi-lingual English Spanish highly desirable.
