Summary

Position: Supply Chain Coordinator

Position Type: 6-month Contract to Direct Hire

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Pay: Up to $25/hour

Shift: 1st, 8am-5pm

Position Summary:

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to support daily operations across procurement, production planning, inventory control, and logistics within our manufacturing facility. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that materials and products flow efficiently through the supply chain to meet production and delivery targets.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of raw materials and components to meet production requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
  • Track inventory levels and report discrepancies; assist with stock counts and audits.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, production orders, and shipping documentation using ERP system.
  • Monitor order status and update internal teams on changes or delays.
  • Support logistics and shipping teams with transportation scheduling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the quality and production teams to address any material non-conformance or delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate routine supply chain reports.
  • Assist with customer service as needed, including providing order status updates, resolving delivery issues, and handling customer inquiries in coordination with the sales or customer support teams.


Position Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or production support (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts and basic understanding of production processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of lean principles or continuous improvement methods (preferred).
