Summary

What we're looking for

We are looking for a Supply Chain Assistant Manager with at least 3 years experience handling the production of mechanical watches.


In this role, you’ll be the point person for everything manufacturing-related for the brand. You will have to source and liaise with manufacturers, design production plans and timelines, inspect and QC products and everything else that goes into making great products. At the same time, given that we are a fairly new brand, you will have extensive freedom to make your voice heard on all matters related to the brand’s manufacturing strategy and processes. You will work closely with our supply chain manager, operations team and design team to streamline our entire supply chain process and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production of all of Atelier Wen’s watches across multiple series and models from product feasibility to the end product
  • Prepare and regularly update timelines and describing the production plans for all our products
  • Communicate regularly with our manufacturing partners to ensure that manufacturing timelines and quality standards are upheld
  • Ensure smooth communication between our internal teams and manufacturing partners
  • Continuously assist in finding new suppliers to manufacture new and improved products
  • Continuously make suggestions as to how to improve both the overall manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Conduct inspections of partner manufacturer facilities to ensure that standards are met
  • Conduct in-depth quality control of our products
  • Assist in managing the fulfilment of orders from our manufacturing facilities to our end user and overall logistics
  • Regular updates to key stakeholders on the progress of each project and the various stages of the manufacturing process


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or relevant field
  • 3 years experience in mechanical watch supply chain management
  • Native Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Professional English
  • Highly autonomous and able to own the whole supply chain function
  • Highly organised and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage projects and adhere to production timelines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Advantage for experience in technical drawings specifically for watch design and production


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Cantonese


Location

  • Shenzhen (preferred)
  • Foshan
  • Guangzhou, Dongguan or elsewhere in the Greater Bay Area also possible
  • Hong Kong also possible if you are happy to commute
