Overview
As a Pre-series Warehouse Group Leader, you are responsible of the operations and people management of the pre-series logistics warehouse, for a given working shift/ area.
You will ensure the internal flow of materials, warehousing, picking, as well as the in-time supply of pre-series material to assembly. The activities are planned on the basis of the current delivery and vehicle program in agreement with pre-series production and quality departments.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Leading, supervising, instructing and further qualifying the pre-series warehouse employees, carrying out instructions and assessing the employees
- Leading and motivating the employees to take the initiative, performance, cooperation and safety thinking for Accident prevention
- Ensuring the timely managed warehousing, picking, dispatch and transport of various materials, taking into account the customer/supplier principle and the production and delivery program
- Monitoring and ensuring economical use of equipment and vehicles as well as initiating and monitoring the necessary maintenance measures, minimizing so-called "violent damage" to be documented, analyzed and countermeasure
- Collaborate with Planning and IT-Planning Departments to ensure failure-free operations establish actions plan and follow-up of defined measures
- This Role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines, standards and regulations
- Corresponding to your individual skills, you may be asked to perform appropriate tasks in pre-series logistics that are not explicitly included in this job posting
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance onsite and it is carried out on a rotation shift base.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
What you’ll bring

- 3+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics operations (e.g, inhouse logistics, pre-series logistics, assembly line or other) including people leadership
- Experience in automotive business desirable
- Technical skills in networking, hardware and software systems as well as process design
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Ability to work any shift, independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $110,000.00 - $125,000.00
