**Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click HERE (http://www.myworkday.com/saintfrancis/d/task/3005$4482.htmld)** **to login and apply.** Full Time Job Summary: Reporting to the Patient Transport Manager the Patient Transport Supervisor has oversight of the Patient Transport Dispatchers, Patient Transporters, or Valet Services ensuring that all patient transportation is compliant with departmental goals, productivity metrics, policies and procedures. Ensures quality, infection control, state and CMS standards are met. Assists with recruitment, training, monitoring productivity, counseling, and employee evaluations. Conducts active rounding and audits to verify employee compliance. Covers for manager during their absence. Will perform patient transports or valet services if needed. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: CPR certification and valid driver's license with no violations required. Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Demonstrates ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information and hospital sensitive information. Ability to administer/supervise departmental operations including budgeting, staffing, and interdepartmental relations. Ability to demonstrate self-initiative and motivation, provide leadership, improve performance, accept challenges, and maintain composure in stressful situations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Verify that all work assignments and daily responsibilities are met. Monitors staff productivity and recommends appropriate adjustments. Assists staff with their duties to ensure that job responsibilities are completed. Perform patient transports or valet services if needed. Assures that policies, procedures, and standards for the entire department are in compliance with regulatory agencies including patient focused functions. Assists with recruitment of qualified candidates and conducts employee training. Assists with employee evaluations and disciplinary actions. Monitors employee productivity for compliance. Completes required educational requirements. Sees that employees meet required educational requirements and inoculation requirements. Work with departments to resolve patient and department complaints and variances. Verify that complaints and variances are resolved. Conducts stretcher and wheelchair audits. Sees that all equipment is cleaned appropriately. Conducts valet service audits or surveys on a routine basis. Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor.
