Supervisor of ESL/World Language JobID: 2422 Position Type: Administration/Supervisor Date Posted: 5/5/2025 Location: Morris School District Date Available: 7/1/25 Closing Date: UNTIL FILLED   Additional Information: Show/Hide Qualifications: * Appropriate NJ Teaching Certification and NJ Principal/Supervisor Certification required * Bilingual Spanish (Excellent Speaking, Reading & Writing skills) * Excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written) * Computer Proficiency Responsibilities: * Coordinate and develop K-12 ESL Program/World Language curricula and Staff Development * Observe non-tenured teachers throughout the district as a secondary evaluator * Coordinate implementation and evaluation of ESL and World Language programs and activities * Monitor programs to collect data for all state reporting and improvement 5. Facilitate identification and enrollment of new multilingual learners * Serve as the point of contact between the parents and the department * Consult with principals, their designees, and other district departments to facilitate parent involvement in school activities. * Organize and oversee our Multilingual Outreach team and Parent Advisory Group 9. Oversee World Language programming in all k-12 schools * Collect and organize information as a basis for budget requests * Coordinate workshops for parents that address the needs of our Multilingual lingual learners * Coordinate testing for our Multilingual learners such as: WIDA, ACCESS, etc. 13. Provide and coordinate professional development to teachers, administrators, etc. * Provide input to the establishment and proposed means of achieving district goals that impact minority students, by raising awareness of relevant cultural differences. * Oversee Title III compliance to ensure high-quality programming for all Multilingual students;this includes the oversight and auditing of data systems * Provide direct services to students where necessary to link them with opportunities for personal and academic progress, whether within the district or in the community. * Collaborate with other district personnel (administrators or their designees) in grant writing to support ML education and World Language * Interview prospective teachers as requested by HR * Orient and train all new teachers as needed/requested * Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Services and Bilingual Education Contract Terms Of Employment: 12-month position FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION, PLEASE UPLOAD ALL OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO YOUR APPLICATION: * Upload resume * Upload All New Jersey Certificate(s) * Upload All Transcripts (Undergraduate & Graduate) You MUST fill out the ONLINE APPLICATION to be considered for this position.
