Are you looking for a meaningful and fun summer job where you can make a difference in children?s lives? Our team is looking for a Summer Van Driver to join our children's program in Chesapeake, Virginia!

We?re seeking a reliable, safety-focused individual to help transport and chaperone children ages 5?11 in a 14-passenger van during our summer season.

Duties

Position Details:

• Location: Chesapeake, VA
• Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
• Hours: 9:00 a.m. ? 2:00 p.m.
• Dates: June 23 ? August 20, 2025
• Compensation: Pay based on experience
• Benefits: Accrual of paid time off
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children to and from program activities
• Serve as a friendly, responsible adult presence during trips
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensure a positive experience for all passengers
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 26 years of age
• Valid driver?s license (no special license required)
• Clean driving record
• Experience working with children ages 5?11 or a strong comfort level in youth settings
• Dependability and a friendly, team-oriented attitude

About Us

We are a ministry of Centerville Baptist Church and have been one of the longest running programs in the Chesapeake area; 66 years and counting! It is our mission for all children enrolled in the program to know they are loved by God exactly as they are. We lovingly accept children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Centerville Baptist Children's Program offers preschool, kindergarten, and childcare for these ages. Every child is special, loved, and cared for by our dedicated and experienced staff.
