Summary: Looking for someone who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly. In this role, you'll open and close school buildings for scheduled activities, support instructors and participants, and make sure spaces are clean, safe, and ready to use. During the summer, you'll also help with brief student supervision and transitions, classroom setup, and daily logistics like lunch and dismissal. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and likes being part of a team that makes a positive impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Facility Oversight :
Open and close district buildings and fields for permitted activities.
Monitor facility use to ensure compliance with district guidelines.
Support instructors and permit holders with equipment setup, room access, and onsite needs.
Reset areas after events and remove trash from classrooms as needed.
Communicate and collaborate with custodial and building staff.
Complete facility logs, incident reports, and maintenance requests promptly.
Report damage, vandalism, or safety concerns within 12 hours. Provide basic first aid and emergency support as needed.
Serve as a welcoming presence for participants; give directions and respond to inquiries.
Attend staff meetings and complete other duties as assigned.
Program Support (Summer)
Arrive 30 minutes before classes to unlock doors, set up classrooms, and assist instructors.
Supervise transitions including student arrival, lunch, and dismissal.
Help locate students for the nurse or office staff and assist with pick-up/drop-off logistics.
Provide hallway and lunchroom supervision; escort students as needed.
Be visible and responsive during class time to assist with late arrivals, emergencies, or supply needs.
Lock up rooms and buildings once all activities are complete.
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Comfortable working with children, families, and staff in a school environment.
Ability to lift and move equipment and perform light physical duties.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic first aid skills preferred.
