Position Overview
The Summer Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers during the summer months. This short-term, part-time role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals seeking temporary summer employment to gain valuable office experience. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and eager to support various teams with a range of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist office visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas
- Help with filing, data entry, and other light administrative duties
- Provide project assistance to various departments such as HR, Finance, and Marketing
- Support event coordination efforts by preparing materials and helping with logistics
- Assist with organizing digital and physical files for different teams
- Perform other short-term tasks and assignments as directed by department leads
- Support the Office Manager and other team members with day-to-day task
Education & Experience
- High school students, recent graduates, or individuals seeking summer employment are encouraged to apply
- No prior office experience required—training will be provided
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn office technology
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Ability to move around the office to perform various tasks
