The intern will focus on integrating existing financial data systems, automating data flows, and generating monthly project and corporate-level financial reports. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial systems, automation, and data analysis while contributing to operational efficiency. In this role you will be responsible for: * Designing and implementing automation processes, including scripts or other tools, to integrate time reporting and financial datasets. * Create automated workflows to generate monthly project reports and corporate-level financial reports. * Test and validate automation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability. * Collaborate with finance and project operations teams to understand reporting needs and optimize outputs. * Document processes and provide training materials for end-users. Applicant must have the following qualifications: * Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. * Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA, or JavaScript). * Experience with data integration, automation tools, and/or APIs. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. * Interest in financial systems and process optimization. * A proactive, detail-oriented, well-organized and adaptable mindset. Ideally, the applicant will also have the following qualifications: * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). * Knowledge of database management or SQL. * Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus. * Understanding of financial reporting or accounting principles.
