Description CCAP Mission Statement - To empower all people and communities, challenged by poverty as well as social and cultural barriers, through advocacy, education, and access to high quality health and human services. Providence and Warwick job sites. JOB SUMMARY: Conduct weekly Work Readiness and Life Skills workshops for youth aged 14-24 via Zoom and in-person. During the first week of the program and weekly thereafter, verify and approve interns' hours and perform worksite visits to monitor intern progress and maintain employer relationships. WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS: * Temporary, 7-week program; full-time; 30 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm) * Will be required to travel between youth centers throughout Rhode Island. * Typical schedule would be weekdays, with occasional evenings. * Due to the nature of the job, this individual must be flexible with their schedule to accommodate the client population. * May be required to work at any CCAP location. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have a high school diploma or GED * Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with youth, staff, local businesses, and parents effectively * Experience in facilitating workshops or training sessions, preferably in a virtual setting * Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and develop daily plans for worksite visits. * Ability to address and resolve issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all parties involved. * Knowledge and understanding of youth development principles and best practices, with a passion for empowering and supporting young individuals. * Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance * Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations * Complete all required background checks KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Facilitates and organizes the first week of the program in addition to weekly workshops, teaching work readiness, life skills and financial literacy classes virtually to youth ages 14-24. * Plan and develop materials needed for each class using textbooks, handouts, workbook, web-based resources. * Edit and proofread resumes, along with corresponding forms. * Conduct one on one appointments/lessons with youth who need additional assistance. * Conduct worksite visits to check on interns and maintain rapport with the worksite supervisor * Verify and approve hours worked for summer interns through Paylocity * Communicate with staff, youth participants, and parents if needed. * Must be organized and able to work with detailed records and updating files * Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and follow written and verbal instructions * Must be able to effectively interact with others in person, by phone or in written communication * Must understand the need for teamwork, timeliness, and safety * Must be flexible and able to respond to changing priorities, new job assignments and interruptions * Must be able to learn new tasks and skills quickly * Must be able to assume responsibility for routine decisions in the absence of an immediate supervisor * Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records, discussions and other correspondence regarding youth matters PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
