JOB DESCRIPTION: The CFS Summer Delivery Coordinator helps coordinate the packing and delivery of limited food, furniture, and cleaning supplies to BSC houses during the Summer, with the assistance of a workshifter. They pick up supplies and goods from Costco and other vendors, as needed and conduct weekly deliveries to the houses. They also assist with packing/delivery prep, order entry, disposal/recycling of packaging, office/warehouse clean-up and organization, and other duties assigned by the CFS Supervisor and Assistant CFS Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:You have to be able to drive a truck (automatic), and have a valid California Drivers’ License and a good driving record. You must be able to lift lots of boxes weighing 50 lbs and occasionally more on a regular and continuous basis. You need to be well organized, responsible, and reliable – many a dinner depends on you! You have to know how to count accurately and keep good records, and you ought to know something about packing a truck (like not piling heavy boxes on top of fragile items.). Common sense and good judgment are very helpful. Good supervisory and training skills are required. At least one semester experience with CFS operations is required; knowledge of BSC food service programs at the house level is helpful. You must be a current BSC member to hold this job. You cannot be on the Board of Directors and hold a Central Level job. You cannot hold a compensated house-level position and this position concurrently.

HOURS/PAY: This job averages 12 hours/week and is compensated with a rent credit at $22.00/hour, (it won’t replace your workshift requirement at the house or the apartments). This job is available for Summer 2023 only, (although you may apply for the Fall/Spring Delivery Coordinator position, if interested). If for whatever reason this job begins mid-summer, the compensation will be pro-rated. This job is eligible for work-study compensation.
