Art & Forge is a handcrafted hardware company that provides exceptional, bespoke home décor and architectural products utilizing the finest materials and skilled craftsmanship available. Serving design-conscious individuals, interior designers, and luxury home builders, Art & Forge is headquartered in Norfolk, VA.

We are looking for a creative, self-starting and digital-savvy Summer Marketing Intern to work alongside the founders as we build our brand and social media presence. This role will lead and support a variety of creative & marketing responsibilities, including content, creative ideation and strategy, social media, events, and copywriting. This role will offer a high level of autonomy and responsibility, and reports directly to the Founder/CEO. This is a paid internship. 

Responsibilities

• Support brand growth and marketing strategy by contributing to content planning, execution, and creative direction across digital channels.

• Lead and assist with creative ideation and production of engaging content—including video, photo, graphic, and written assets—for both ongoing campaigns and new platform experiments (e.g., TikTok, YouTube Shorts).

• Develop and edit video content for social media and marketing use, ensuring a polished, on-brand aesthetic aligned with Art and Forge Hardware’s visual language.

• Own and evolve the content strategy for Instagram and Pinterest, helping to grow our audience through compelling product storytelling, educational content, behind-the-scenes features, and trend-driven formats.

• Drive content creation across platforms, from concept to post, including styling, filming, editing, captioning, and scheduling.

• Support PR and influencer outreach, from research and coordination to drafting outreach emails and tracking engagement.

• Help manage and organize our marketing asset library, including product photography, campaign visuals, and evergreen content.

• Assist with basic Shopify updates for product descriptions, images, and marketing integrations to ensure a seamless customer experience.

• Design-savvy and a strong writer – you can craft visually compelling, thoughtful, and on-brand content across Instagram, Pinterest, and email. Canva and/or Photoshop feel like second nature.

• A self-starter who thrives in a flexible, fast-moving environment and knows how to take initiative without needing constant direction.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and curious – you think strategically and creatively, and you love connecting the dots between good design and good storytelling.

• A natural communicator and comfortable on camera – you enjoy chatting with people and are open to occasionally creating TikToks or Reels when inspiration strikes.
