Qualifications

This job requires a Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing at the level of Associate Teacher, or higher (see information below). If you do not hold such a permit, you must demonstrate that you qualify in your application.

Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation from the following list:

OPTION #1 - Attach a copy of your Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing that includes the document number - not the item that looks like a diploma - demonstrating you meet this requirement.

OPTION #2 - If You Do Not Hold Such a Permit, You Must Demonstrate That You Qualify For The Permit By Attaching The Following

  • OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of (2) two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).

Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts must prove completion of 12 units ECE/Child Development courses including core courses.

  • If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalent to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.)

AND

  • Proof of completion of at least 50 days’ experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program, working at least 3 hours per day within the last 2 years.

Proof must be on employer official letterhead.

Previous experience working with infant/toddler children ages 0-3 years and/or preschool children ages 3-5 years.
