The purpose of this class is to assist in the daily functioning of the Veterans Services Office and to assist students in all aspects of the Veterans Educational Benefits Program and the VA Regulations pertaining to the program.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree in general education. Minimum of 9 credit hours earned at CCBC with a 2.0 or greater grade point average. Two (2) years of military experience required.

Class Specific Essential Duties
Assists with disseminating and the review of pertinent and accurate information to veteran students, service members, eligible spouses, and eligible dependents on the multitude of Veterans Educational Benefit Programs.
Informs and educates students on the admission and enrollment processes related to VA procedures, including reviewing vital information regarding VA procedures, VA requirements and VA regulations.
Effectively communicates both verbally and orally with all pertinent CCBC Depts., Admissions. Academic Advising, Enrollment Services, Registrar, Disability Services, Veteran Resource Center on all VA related matters.
Ensures accurate completion and collection of all required VA forms, documents and information required for the processing and Certification of VA Educational benefits to the VA Processing Center for all new, transfer, and returning students.
Assists VACO with all regulatory compliance measures to aid in maintaining positive VA Compliance Audits.
Assists with utilizing and maintaining computer systems, Enrollment Manager, Banner and other required data bases to ensure accurate enrollment certifications and programs of study.
Assists with the maintenance and organization of all VA Files in adherence with VA Compliance requirements.
Monitors and completes verification of program class requirements, verification of schedules, verification of all prior college transcripts evaluated, and prior credit documentation is completed, verification of grade documentation, enrollment verifications, verification of Academic status, and verification of Graduation status.
Capable of monitoring and following up on any VA file Transcript evaluations and accurately completes the posting of transfer credits to the VA file program of study matrix.
Assists with the reconciliation of student accounts, ensuring correct VA schedule bills are received and if applicable; NG Waivers, FTA, Tuition Discounts, Statewide, Tuition reimbursements information to ensure proper VA Certification can be completed in accordance with VA Regulations.
Assists with the VA Financial Compliance Requirements regarding the Post 9/11, Chapter 33 VA program, ensures proper Debt Letter process is maintained and monitors VA Debt files in concert with the VACO.
Effectively communicates to students the VA Regulations and Policies regarding the effects of audits, withdraws, non-attendance, failing grades, repeat classes and classes not required for declared program of study.
Assists students with referrals to CCBC Navigators and provides other resource information if required.
Completion of timely and accurate student inquiries relating to the VA Program and CCBC policies and procedures, refers and coordinates complex VA matters to the Coordinator of Veteran and Military Services.
Actively participates in Veteran related programs, events, outreach activities and VA training sessions.

Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.

Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses.
