Position Information
Under the supervision of the Director of the Women's Resource Center, this position is a senior-level program coordinator and student life and development specialist. Services may include providing resources for students, supervising student workers and volunteers, informal counseling, mentoring, and assessment, as well as program development and implementation. Some evening and weekend work is required. The full salary range for the Student Life and Development Specialist 3 is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $61,209 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Minimum Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
- Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
- Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance.
- Abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills.
- Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
- Interpersonal skills including active listening, verbal communication, and written communication.
- Flexible and works well in teams
- Provides recommendations, reports, and metrics on feasibility of new and current programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to feminism, leadership, empowerment, campus safety, social justice, student-parents, civic engagement, reproductive justice, and gender equity.
- Demonstrated ability to program, plan, organize, and manage time sufficiently to independently set priorities, coordinate, and complete several competing assignments with established deadlines.
