Role and Responsibilities Engineering and Design (90%) * Use engineering software to draft, design, detail, and modify engineering project designs/plans utilizing firm specifications. * Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures. * Review designs for compliance with codes and specifications. * Clarify and resolve technical issues. * May provide technical assistance with proposals and presentations. * May write reports and memorandums and assist with project presentations to clients. * May assist the PM, as requested, in the preparation of cost information. * Other related duties as assigned. Administrative (10%) * Participate in team meetings, all staff meetings, and other planning sessions. * Participate in training and development activities as needed and directed by supervisor. * Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, time sheet completion, expense reports, completing correspondence, etc. Technical Qualifications * Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited university, required * PE, required * 2+ years of experience in structural engineering design, required. Physical Qualifications * Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. * Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. * Physical dexterity and ability to negotiate around a crowded and busy working office area, and around a crowded and busy working area, including construction sites.
