At LSE, we are expanding our Engineering Team and looking to hire either Full time and/or Contract Structural Engineer/ Project Inspector in the Seattle, WA Region. This position will report directly to the Project Manager of your region. The structural engineer is a type of civil engineer who handles a number of responsibilities ranging from creating drawings and blueprints to overseeing construction sites. The primary task is to design buildings and other structures to withstand the elements and usage demands.
Structural Engineer Qualifications
Professional Engineer License [not required but preferred]
Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineer preferred
Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards
Experience with Residential and Commercial Projects
Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineers are welcome
Project development and leadership skills are essential
Professional work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed structures
Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems
Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture
Advanced understanding of build materials, techniques and processes
Up to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures
Responsibilities
Gathering information including site or virtual visits. Structural engineers who will gather information about their proposed project before they can begin designing. Often, this includes data like geographical surveys and topographical reports.
Analyzing data: Utilize data that is gathered to determine the best way to structure and design their proposed project.
Budgets/Sales: Possibly assist with sales calls to ensure that correct estimates are generated from the systems dashboard. Possibly generating more revenue for future clients.
Designs: Using specific materials and tools, structural engineer will create in-depth designs and blueprints for the project.
Monitoring projects: Structural engineer will oversee the projects process and ensure compliance including the project be completed accurately and on time.
Mentor Civil Engineers and facilitate a holistic understanding as to the scope and plan for projects
Work closely with building department within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration

Other Benefits
If offered Full Time there is a generous Benefits package included. Pay is between $70,000-$110,000 plus bonuses DOE with the potential to transition to full-time W2 employment after 90 days.
