We’re recruiting for an innovative, long-standing manufacturing company that’s been setting the standard in rooftop structural solutions since 1959. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, engineering-driven team that leads the industry in custom sheet metal products, including seismic- and wind load-compliant systems.
Position Highlights:

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Licensed Structural Engineer to support the design and development of innovative, code-compliant HVAC structural components. You will collaborate closely with designers and the leadership team, contributing to product development, retrofit solutions, and material optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform project-specific wind load, dead load, and seismic calculations to ensure compliance with International Building Codes.
- Specify construction materials and fastening methods for structural components.
- Collaborate with designers and drafters on new product designs and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Attend professional meetings (ASHRAE, VISCMA, etc.) to stay updated on industry codes and trends.
- Support license applications and renewals across various states as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with Structural Engineering (SE) designation (must have passed the 16-hour SE Examination).
- FE Certification.
- Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, interpreting codes, and using Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in sheet metal or custom HVAC product industries.
- Strong understanding of seismic, wind load, and dead load structural requirements.
