Position Overview

Avsar Construction is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the planning, evaluation, and maintenance of structural engineering components for various commercial and public facility construction projects. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise, review plans, advise consultants, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and consultation to commissioned architects and structural engineers.
• Guide lower-level staff within the Structural Engineering Unit.
• Review and evaluate plans, specifications, and structural reports from consultants and commissioned engineers.
• Develop structural engineering policies and guidelines for the company.
• Prepare recommendations and technical reports regarding structural components and systems.
• Assign and oversee structural testing materials and inspections, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Review soil test results and recommend appropriate structural foundations and construction methods.
• Ensure compliance with company regulations and industry best practices in structural engineering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

• At least five (5) years of full-time professional experience in structural engineering, specifically in managing structural aspects of commercial, public, or educational facility construction projects.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Structural Engineering, with coursework in management.
• Education requirements may be waived with extensive experience and a valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Structural Engineer.

Licenses and Certifications:

• A valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in Structural Engineering issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers is required. This certification must remain valid throughout employment.
