Position Overview:
G&A is seeking a soon-to-be or recent engineering graduate interested in structural design for this full-time position. The successful candidate will work under the guidance and direct supervision of registered professional engineers and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of project production from initial field observations and surveys to design calculations, quantities, and plan production. This position requires a sound understanding of structural engineering principles and attention to detail as our projects often require innovative solutions that will be implemented within limited working spaces and/or accelerated schedules. In addition to technical acumen, the candidate must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who will take ownership and responsibility for full and accurate completion of all assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Structural analysis, design and geometry control
2. CADD detailing
3. Plan and specification production
4. Bid quantities and cost estimates
5. Field investigations
6. 40 hours per week w/periodic OT
7. 15% - 25% travel time

Physical Requirements:

5. Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lean to make observations and take photographs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering w/structures emphasis
2. E.I.T. certification
3. Experience: 0-2 years
4. Proficiency in basic office software programs such as MS Word and Excel.
5. Ability to pass criminal background checks and random drug tests.
6. Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass an MVR check.
7. Familiarity with Mathcad and Microstation is a plus.
