🔧 Key Responsibilities
This role combines deep structural knowledge, investigative fieldwork, and direct client collaboration:
Project & Technical Leadership
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects across all phases—from evaluation to final deliverables.
- Conduct structural assessments, site inspections, and forensic investigations to identify failures and deficiencies.
- Develop construction drawings, technical reports, and repair or rehabilitation recommendations.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide structural support during construction.
- Collaborate across disciplines (architecture, MEP, civil) for integrated project execution.
Client & Team Coordination
- Engage with property owners, design professionals, and contractors to deliver practical and code-compliant solutions.
- Attend site visits, client meetings, and presentations to communicate structural findings and proposed actions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical knowledge-sharing when applicable.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a focus in Structural Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in residential, multi-family, or low-rise commercial building projects.
- Expertise in existing structure evaluation, renovation, structural rehabilitation, or forensic assessment.
- Bachelor's degree in in Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and structural analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel for site work.
- OSHA-10 Certification (preferred).
