Our client is seeking the right person to fill the Design Engineer role to work in the Structural Department. We are interested in structural engineers who have a passion for design and hold to high standards of delivery.

Your Role:

We believe in tailoring specific job roles to employees’ strengths and personal career goals. Design Engineers are expected to prepare construction documents from beginning to end including conceptual framing and detailing, performing calculations, and supporting construction administration. Design Engineers work closely with clients, project managers, and other project stakeholders to deliver successful structural designs. Mentorship is an important part of who we are. A design engineer’s role includes continuing growth in their skills as well as contributing to the development of junior engineers. Those who are passionate and talented at specific roles are given the opportunity to expand their focus and reach within those roles.

Your Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Structural Engineering experience.
• EIT minimum, PE license preferred.
• Experience with wood design, residential, mixed use preferred.
• The ability to perform structural calculations / detailing / construction support dealing with structures designed with wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.
• Experience preparing detailed structural reports and deliverables for client use and permitting.
• An understanding of residential and commercial building construction.
• The ability to write clearly and concisely.
• The ability to speak with clients and be understood, work independently, make site visits to evaluate existing structures, be dependable, have a friendly attitude, and follow through.
