Neel-Schaffer seeks applications from qualified candidates for the position of Structural Design Engineer – Graduate/EI in our Columbia (SC) Office.

The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn complex geometry and designs, the ability to work alone or work within a team environment of engineers and technicians on various types of transportation and structures projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Structure relevant courses such as Reinforced Concrete Design, Structural.
• Analysis, Structural Steel Analysis and/or Foundation Design.
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with CADD software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Valid driver’s license
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Bentley’s OpenBridge or OpenRoads Designer.
• Internship experience in the Transportation field.
