YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities
As an entry-level Structural Bridge Engineer, you will be fully engaged in project work, making a difference in the communities you serve. The Engineer will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and project engineering for transportation-related structural projects within the public agency and private market. These responsibilities include:
- Serving in a lead or support technical role, depending on project complexity.
- Preparation of calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and, at times, task or project management.
- Day-to-day design decisions on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, including production and scheduling.
- Working in a team environment, both internally and externally.
- Active involvement in client interaction at the project level.
- Leverage design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Write and complete technical reports and project correspondences.
YOUR STRENGTHS
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural
- Current Engineer-In-Training (EIT) licensure or willing to obtain soon after hire
- 0-3+ years of relevant experience in bridge design work
- Understanding of design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Principal knowledge of load calculations, structural analysis, and design
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
