Summary

Keadjian Associates, a leading strategic communications and management consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking for a full-time, experienced writer to start work immediately. The candidate must be experienced with quickly developing engaging, clear and accurate copy and efficiently incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders.


The ideal candidate will have over five years of writing experience in corporate communications, public relations, public affairs, journalism or a similar role. Previous experience working in the energy, land use, environmental or infrastructure sectors is preferred.

Our team is headquartered in Walnut Creek. We offer the flexibility to primarily work from home, contingent on business and client needs. Our teams convene one day a week in person at our Walnut Creek office for team building, training, mentoring and more.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine strategic messaging documents to ensure consistent, compelling communication across multiple channels.
  • Draft and edit high-quality, client-ready materials (e.g., messaging documents, talking points, press releases, fact sheets, website copy, executive speeches, and op eds)
  • Review and edit materials to improve the language and tone; ensure messaging optimizes the client’s brand voice and engages the targeted audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business objectives into clear, audience-specific messaging frameworks that support goals and objectives.
  • Conduct meetings with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information and insights, and provide strategic feedback on content.
  • Copy edit and fact check materials.
  • Work closely with in-house graphic design team for visual treatments to enhance materials.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of writing experience at a corporate communications, public relations or public affairs agency, journalism or a comparable position
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for grammar, spelling, and message consistency.
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between multiple projects, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written direction with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of keyword analytics and SEO is nice to have.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), media and social tracking tools (e.g., Cision, Muckrack, Sprout).
  • Bachelor’s degree


Expected Salary: This position offers a base salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, alongside industry-leading benefits such as end-of-year profit sharing and a performance bonus program for eligible employees. While we anticipate that the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed near the entry or midpoint of the salary range, starting salary will be determined based on various factors, including years of experience, relevant experience type, education and more.


Additional Benefits and Compensation: Keadjian Associates offers a discretionary bonus program for eligible employees, with bonuses awarded based on performance and contributions at the Company’s sole discretion. Additionally, eligible team members can participate in the Company’s 401(k) Program, with competitive employer contributions. The Company also offers group health, dental and vision insurance coverage for eligible employees, and the Company pays one hundred percent (100%) of its employee’s premiums for the offered medical benefit plans.
