Job Overview

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and success of the retail store. Your role involves leading and managing the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, and optimizing the store's performance.

Operations Management

(Some of) What you will be doing:

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the dark store, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and resolve any operational challenges
  • Expiry Management (FIFO, RTV, Wastage Management

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain high-quality service standards for shop deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to minimize errors and customer complaints
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures

Vendor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shop partners, serving as the primary point of contact
  • Negotiate and establish contracts with new shops, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives
  • Collaborate with shop partners to optimize inventory management and order processing

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, customer support, and finance, to ensure smooth and seamless operations
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, leading by example and promoting teamwork and cooperation

Facility Management

  • Oversee facility maintenance and ensure a safe and functional working environment for employees
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for facility-related services, such as cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
  • Implement measures to optimize facility utilization and minimize operational disruptions

Learning And Development (L&D)

  • Develop and implement training programs for store staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Identify L&D needs and opportunities for continuous improvement within the team
  • Foster a culture of learning and development, encouraging employees to pursue growth opportunities and career advancement

Data Analysis

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on key performance indicators and operational insights

Team Management

  • Manage the complete team on ground and a direct line manager
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, customer service, and team performance
  • Develop and implement employee development plans and conduct skill gap analysis to identify training needs
  • Drive efficiency gains and ensure effective interdepartmental communication to achieve organizational goals

Attitude matters most but do you have any of these?

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and drive results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of sales, customer service, product quality and inventory principles
