Job Description:

• Design and implement Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switching solutions in enterprise environments
• Perform zoning, aliasing, trunking, and VSAN configuration on SAN switches
• Support storage provisioning, migration, and backup integration over Fibre Channel (FC)
• Collaborate with storage teams to connect switches to NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE 3PAR, or other arrays
• Ensure multi-pathing and failover are configured correctly across servers and switches
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and health checks on SAN infrastructure
• Maintain documentation for switch topology, configuration, and change management
• Assist with troubleshooting SAN-related performance issues and link failures
• Participate in DR planning, SAN expansion, and data center migration activities

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco MDS and/or Brocade SAN switches.
• Strong understanding of Fibre Channel protocol, SAN design, zoning (soft/hard), and WWN mapping.
• Experience with Cisco DCNM and Brocade Network Advisor / SANnav.
• Familiarity with switch interconnects, ISLs, trunking, and performance monitoring tools.
• Working knowledge of enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, HPE).
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
