This is an entry level storage administration role that will be focused on providing daily operational services while working to grow storage and cloud infrastructure administration skills and knowledge. This role will be focused on storage fundamental skills and processes including basic storage array administration & troubleshooting, documentation creation, communication, collaboration, and training. Daily team and client interaction will be expected.

Support, maintain, and patch/upgrade storage solutions.
Manage and monitor storage arrays to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
Perform regular storage array maintenance tasks such as adding & expanding LUNs, hardware troubleshooting, and snapshot & replication management.
Basic troubleshooting of storage solutions and engaging peer teams when needed.
Provides quality customer service that meets TierPoint expectations.
Respond to storage related alerts and escalations.
Manage ticket queue and provide understandable communication in tickets until resolution.
Work with clients to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications / Requirements
1 plus years of experience in an IT infrastructure administration role.
Intermediate knowledge of storage technology, including iSCSI & fiber channel connectivity, CIFS/NFS, and NAS.
Basic understanding of Virtualization technology.
Basic knowledge in general IT infrastructure troubleshooting and a logical thought process.
Basic familiarity with PowerShell.
Basic knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Basic understanding of RDMs.
Great attention to detail and ability to own issues/projects and see them through to their resolution.
Good client management skills including written and verbal communication.
The ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in understandable terms.
Basic understanding Security Best Practices.
Conceptual understanding of backups, restores, and disaster recovery.
Knows when to escalate to more senior staff.
Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating KBs, run books, topology etc.)
Team oriented. Driven to communicate and work with all the teams. Willing to jump in to assist with issues and projects.
