Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong system support engineer with in-depth experience supporting storage systems for both Mainframe and distributed systems. This team works 3 days/week in Columbia, SC and must be able to work W2 and obtain a federal security clearance.

The Storage Engineer will be responsible for engineering and implementing services that design and upgrade server and storage infrastructure to support distributed, high-volume data storage and networked file sharing.

Duties:

• Provide engineering and implementation services for storage solutions
• Design and implement upgrades and enhancements to server and storage infrastructure.
• Maintain enterprise storage solutions and manage associated hardware/software configurations.
• Conduct technical analysis to assess performance and scalability of enterprise solutions.
• Support evaluation reports and assist with third-party SVAT plan assessments.
• Develop and maintain IT reporting and deliverables related to storage and capacity management.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years working with servers and server storage
• In-depth understanding of Mainframe systems
• Licensing
• Disaster Recovery and Capacity planning
