• Managing, administration, configuration and implementation of Commvault backup solutions
• Provides direct technical support in Troubleshooting and implementing, the solution for global infrastructure
• Strong experience in Backup, recovery, troubleshooting, performing proactive maintenance and optimizing performance.
• Experience in handling DR drills and CommCell high availability
• Risk assessment on backup environment and mitigate with solutions
• Experience on client backup solutions ( File system ,SAP oracle, SAP hana, Oracle, MySQL, Maxdb and Data replication)
• Implementation of Commvault backup solution for new environments
• Implement and manage data retention policies, perform routine system checks, maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage storage resources and integrate Commvault with various storage solutions.
• Conduct regular system performance check and capacity planning on future data growth
• Ability to develop and test disaster recovery on new client backup solutions
• Expertise on Commvault catalog backup, Storage policies, DDB and index cache configuration and issues
• Expertise on operating systems (windows/Unix systems) to troubleshoot installation and backup configuration errors and failures
• Knowledge in Commvault auditing, logging and reporting features
• Sound knowledge on Database products to implement the backup solutions
• Expertise on handling tape libraries for implementation and configuration.
• Good Experience on VM platforms (google, VMware, Hypervisor & Azure) to troubleshoot the complex issues to ensure backup availability
• Sound knowledge on google and Azure cloud platforms for backup & recovery of different work loads
• Migration and upgradation of CommCell large enterprise environments
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients
• Coordinate with vendor to resolve complex issues of hardware & software and implement the best on the environment
• Manage the customer escalations and internal teams elevations.
• Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
• Maintain documentation of backup & recovery configuration, processes and procedures.
• Provide reporting on capacity usage to the management and customers with trend analysis.
• Good scripting knowledge in (Perl and Shell) .
• Good knowledge on various backup environment reports (command center) to customize and proactive action for betterment
• Good knowledge in ITIL frame work on Incident, Problem, Change management & Service request management.
• Provides support with an emphasis on Internal SLA and commitments are met on time and with a high level of quality
• Research and make recommendations on backup products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
• Industry best practices on implementation and configuration of backup environments
• Open to work in stretched shifts, 24X7 shift, odd working hours and weekends as per the work requirements.
• Additional knowledge on other backup products
• Manage the hiring ,staffing and maintaining of a diverse and engaged workforce
Storage:
• Managing, administration, configuration and implementation of HP3PAR, HP Primera, Dell EMC Unity storages.
• Provides direct technical support in Troubleshooting and implementing, the solution for global infrastructure
• Strong experience in storage, recovery, troubleshooting, performing proactive maintenance and optimizing performance.
• Experience in handling DR DRILL and ReaL BCP And data recovery
• Experience in handling security assessment and mitigating Risk identified in assessment
• Experience in handling CIFS & NFS file share management.
• Execute FC zoning for development and production, storage volumes.
• Manage snapshot as well as recovery methods for storage volumes.
• Execute across-site replication of significant DR data.
• Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements.
• Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.
• Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
• Support and configure the SMTP alerts and SMIS & SNMP traps to monitor the devices.
• Manage the customer escalations and internal teams elevations.
• Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
• Capacity Management: Monitoring Storage, Audit logs and take reactive and proactive action.
• Provide reporting on capacity usage to the management and customers with trend analysis.
• Perform the implementation with the help of the team and make the infrastructure compliant with Industry best practices

• Establish appropriate end-user access control levels for stored data.
• Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations, security, and availability.
• Perform and test backups and restores to ensure that enterprise data is effectively protected.
• Communicate and enforce, through system procedures, data storage retention policies.
• Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes for modifications to storage appliances and software.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with storage devices, storage access, and data retrieval.
• Research and make recommendations on storage products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements to the IT storage team.
• Develop routines for end-users to facilitate storage best practices, including desktop storage administration.
• Remain informed on storage laws, trends, and issues, including current and emerging technologies and best practices; advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance.
• Ensure that information storage measures and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform storage server/database transaction and security audits leading to identification and mitigation of security threats to enterprise data. Recommend and implement changes where necessary.
• Create required reports in response to business user needs.
• Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and tasks.
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
