• Job Title: Central Sterile Technician – Evening Shift (40 hrs/week)
• Location: Newton, MA
• Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Evenings)
• Pay: $34/hr. on W2 all inclusive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Sterile Technician to join our healthcare team for the evening shift. In this essential role, you will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing medical instruments and equipment to support high-quality patient care and ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Operate and maintain autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
• Monitor and document sterilization parameters and inventory usage.
• Distribute sterile and non-sterile supplies and instrumentation to various hospital departments.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing environment.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – required.
• Sterile Processing Technician certification – required (e.g., CRCST or CBSPD).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a sterile processing role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Contract
