Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.
Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:
* Under supervision of the Team Leader for the NAVIGATE program, will conduct data and research for patients in the NAVIGATE First Episode Psychosis program through following the guidelines of the ESPRITO grant that will last until July 2029. Will conduct data with in efforts to assist with improving treatment outcomes, improving engagement for the patients and medication compliance.
* Ensures work is in compliance with the currently approved protocols, with Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP), and with applicable regulatory requirement(s).
* Organizes and conducts assigned studies, independently, following and adhering to current experimental protocols.
* Develops forms and questionnaires and coordinates the application of research techniques, as necessary. Completes data by the grant deadlines.
* Interacts well with the patients and their families. Makes efforts to engage the patients in order to collect the data.
* Evaluates and interprets collected data, and prepares presentations, reports and analyses describing progress, trends, and recommendations or conclusions.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data. A master's degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience.
Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:
Required to work a 16-hour work week at maximum.

Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Mental Health legal principles and practices, with following HIPAA guidelines and PHI. Research or analytical experience, preferred. Maintains current knowledge of research study area including attending scientific/professional meetings and training courses as appropriate. Works effectively as part of a team with good interpersonal skills. Able to take initiative and work interdependently, meet deadlines with a sense of urgency, multitask, adjust to shifting priorities, communicate effectively, and work under defined rules and regulations.
