COMPENSATION

We are a pre-money start-up with ~20 mostly part-time, internationally remote, entrepreneurially focused members contributing sweat equity for early stock option ownership.

ROLE

The Senior Backend Developer will focus our GenAI backend development and infrastructure integrations.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Python (Cython, Numba, JIT compilation, NumPy vectorization, async programming)
• Docker, Kubernetes (for containerized ML deployments)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX
• Transformer models: GPT, LLaMA, T5, BERT, Stable Diffusion
• Vector databases: FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB
• Large-scale dataset handling: Hugging Face Datasets, Pandas, Dask
• FastAPI, Flask, Django (for building APIs) & gRPC, REST, GraphQL (for model interaction)
• WebSockets (for real-time GenAI applications, e.g., chatbots)
• Vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Milvus)
• ETL pipelines (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
• Data serialization (Parquet, Avro, JSON, Protobuf)
• Microservices & distributed systems
• Cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, AWS CDK)
• Is available at least 15 hours per week consistently.
