Introduction

We are IBM ZOS (Z Operating System, Open Source Linux Tools team, professional working on Z Enterprise Systems and we build the most secure systems for our Enterprise customers to deploy their mission critical applications. We support open source linux commands on Z operating systems for improved and better user experience. The mission critical applications run on zOS and users familiar with Linux commands require a comaparable experience on z/OS that include the shell utilities , commands, containers. Our IBM z/OS customers heavily rely on this operating system with the linux like shell capabilities making z/OS easy to use platform.

Your Role And Responsibilities

To Build the world most simplest management system via Z systems that helps customers easily work with z/OS using z/OS Unix System Services that provides UNIX like working environment for the users

• Build High Level Architecture, Design of the planned enhancements by working/getting guidance from Product Owner
  
  

Collaborate closely with all stake holders to prototype and implement innovative solution for the product initiatives.

Expand the HLD into LLD with building blocks, coach the team in implementation, testing and delivery of the component or feature

Ensure strict adherence to the development and release process mainly security, compliance aspects

Review design and code created by team, identify issues and improvements to provide quality delivery

Prepare status updates and report to the management

Guide the team and clear roadblocks

Complete ownership of end to end deliverables

Collaborate with global z/OS Teams and leaders

Look for product and process improvements

Contribute to roadmap influence

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Must Have :

A minimum of 3-10 years of experience in Assembler with z/OS knowledge and with UNIX/Linux environments

• Strong skills in developing code in C Programming with deep knowledge of UNIX/Linux required
  
  

Working Experience With Open Source Technology Is Required

• Strong debugging skils and able to quickly root cause issues, experience in performing code reviews
  
  

Familiarity with test tools

• Experience with Security development tools and processes.
• Software development experience in an Agile environment
• Experience with DevOps tooling (Git, Jenkins, Jira, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. teaming), with strong verbal and written communication skills and leading a team of developers
• Collaboration across disciplines and teams, able to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Organizational skills. Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload.
