The Staff Software Verification Engineer plays a crucial role in advancing the development of next-generation product software unification on Windows-based OS support. This position involves strategic planning and the execution of product software verification. The staff engineer will develop and execute test plans for assay algorithms, working closely with the R&D team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of these algorithms through rigorous testing and verification processes. This role is part of the Product Software Verification Team, located in Sunnyvale. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop and execute test plans for assay algorithms along with manual and automated testing to validate algorithm performance * Perform manual and automated testing to validate algorithm performance * Collaborate with the R&D team to refine and improve assay algorithms * Document test procedures, results, and any identified issues * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines The essential requirements for this job include: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of technical experience in software testing, with 5+ years' experience in testing web/desktop applications and/or testing assay algorithms. * Strong understanding of assay algorithms and their applications * Proficient in automation testing using MATLAB, Python, Java, and Selenium, as well as in testing data reduction and signal processing algorithms * Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with strong communication and documentation skills * Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines for biochip assays It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: * Working knowledge of QSR, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO-13485, and security-related regulations * Experience in developing documents related to software for 510(k) and PMA submissions Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is 165,000-180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
