We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to develop high-quality, maintainable Developer Productivity Services that aligns and adheres to essential architectural principles. Developing capabilities that directly elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of Developers ability to create and deploy high quality applications. This role involves planning and breaking down complex deliverables into manageable tasks, proposing innovative solutions and automation to existing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to analyze and evaluate results, ensuring the selection of optimal solutions that enhance both performance and maintainability.


  • Perform all phases of software engineering including design, development, testing, and deployment in an Agile software development environment
  • Ability to be a technical team lead recommending leading edge solutions with a can-do attitude
  • Implement automation, whereby taking repeatable tasks being done manually and automate
  • Design and develop new features using object-oriented coding and scripting
  • Collaborate with technology teams and conduct research regarding architecture improvements
  • Actively participate in code reviews, analyze results and choose the best solution
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Continuously focus on improving software quality and performance
  • Participate in Information Security analysis and remediation
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor and inspire peers
  • Work with product owners to implement features and clarify requirements
  • Provide timely advice and solutions including deliverable estimations; communicate tradeoffs including potential issues and mitigation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Master’s preferred
  • Proficient in using of code and scripting to perform automation
  • Heavy experience with Python, along with Groovy and/or Java
  • Heavy experience with internal workings of automated CI/CD Pipelines plus customizations
  • Skilled using source code control toolsets like GitLab or Bitbucket
  • Experience with automated testing across nonproduction and production environments
  • Experience in code quality toolsets like Sonarqube or similar
  • Experienced integrating with Security tooling for open source, application code and containers
  • Tech lead with ability to quantify and estimate the level of effort as well as mentoring others to success
  • Heavy AWS Cloud experience specific to provisioning highly secure / scaled applications
  • Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration
  • Experience designing and building REST services and microservice architectures
  • Comfortable integrating into cloud-based databases
  • Experience with Scrum framework, SM certification is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new coding languages and develop creatively
  • Solid understanding of securing coding practice such as OWASP
