Our client is a well-established creative technology company known for building tools that empower visual storytellers. They are in the early stages of building a next-generation cross-platform mobile experience.

They are on the search for a Staff Software Engineer to own the architectural decisions, making strategic improvements for performance, reliability, and security.

This is a high-impact role focused on architecting and delivering a performant, reliable mobile platform used by a global creative community.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture and development of a high quality and scalable React Native mobile app from scratch.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
• Implement best practices for testing, CI/CD, and mobile code quality.
• Mentor other engineers and help shape the engineering culture.
• Influence the technical roadmap and contribute to long-term platform strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years with React Native
• Previous experience with native mobile development (iOS or Android)
• Deep proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end tooling.
• Strong understanding of mobile design principles and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux) and asynchronous programming.
• Comfort working in an agile, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to lead by influence.
