Department Intro: We are excited to provide an outstanding opportunity for a Staff CAD Engineer to join our Engineering Automation (EA) organization at Micron. This role is crucial in delivering industry-leading Design Technology Kits (DTK), tools, and methodologies that drive the design, implementation, verification, and successful tape-out of custom memory designs. Our innovative CAD tools and collateral empower the creation of DRAM, HBM, and other emerging memory technologies on a range of Micron-developed process nodes. Position Overview: The Staff CAD Engineer will play a crucial part in developing Physical Verification tools, flows, and methodologies for next-generation memory designs. Collaborating closely with design, layout, verification, modeling, and process teams, you will be integral in determining and implementing product development and verification strategies. Responsibilities: * Develop Physical Verification tools, flows, and methodologies for the next-generation DRAM, HBM, and Emerging memory designs. * Collaborate closely with design, layout, verification, modeling, and process teams to determine and implement product development and verification strategies. * Build verification rule decks and guide design teams across Micron on DRC/DFM/LVS/PERC methodologies and checks. * Evaluate EDA industry product offerings, ensuring we gain quality, performance, and efficiency in our processes. Minimum Qualifications: * 10+ years of direct CAD or Physical Verification rule deck (DRC/LVS) development experience. * Deep understanding and knowledge of physical verification methodologies, flows, and quality metrics. * Knowledge of CMOS circuit design, layout, and verification. * Experience with layout automation in Virtuoso using SKILL or Python. * A bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. Preferred Qualifications: * Proven experience in developing and debugging Antenna/ESD/LUP checks. * Expertise in DFM, tape-out, and Mask generation flows. * Familiarity with rule deck development using TVF or parasitic extraction. * Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills. * Ambitious drive to continuously learn, develop new skills, and self-improve!
