About the role:

We are looking for a Staff Engineer who not only brings deep technical expertise but also demonstrates strong product ownership, collaborative skills, and a passion for mentoring. This is a high-impact role requiring a balance of hands-on engineering, architectural thinking, stakeholder engagement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development efforts across Java and Spring Boot services.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to influence and shape product direction.
• Contribute to frontend development (React) as needed; while not mandatory, React experience is a strong plus.
• Drive architectural discussions and decisions, balancing long-term scalability with near-term deliverables.
• Own technical discovery and partner with product teams to ensure solutions meet both user and business needs.
• Actively mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and pairing, ensuring knowledge sharing and growth.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Be a culture carrier: foster a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related backend technologies.
• Experience with React or willingness to contribute to frontend when needed.
• Demonstrated track record in system design, architecture, and scaling software systems.
• Prior experience in product-centric or consulting environments with a clear understanding of product lifecycle and discovery.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making across departments.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Passion for mentorship, team upliftment, and leading by example.
