Job Description

OnSemi is seeking a Staff Engineer -Application in AMG division for power management products. This group is responsible for development of power management products including DC-DC, PMIC/POL, AD-DC, controllers, SiC drivers, switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role you will be focused on:

Role

• Working on Reference board development/proof of concepts for the power management products for industrial and automotive customers.
• Development of collaterals, datasheet and simulation model of the products.
• Validation of system and reference designs.
• Circuit simulation for product definition and system development.
• Writing down the validation plan for systems.
• PCB design of the system/refence boards.
• Customer support and providing solution to customers.
• Support New product definition
• Benchmarking and providing relevant information to cross functional team like marketing and silicon design.
• Working closely & cop-operate with Marketing/Silicon Design/Sales/Distributors and Application engineer with other regions for business goals.
• Document and share the lessons learnt with team.
• Troubleshooting of field issues on application level and proposing effective solutions .
  
  

Responsibilities

• 2 to7 years of hand-on experience in power electronics system development with M.Tech degree.
• Sound knowledge of AC-DC, Gate drivers, motor controllers & DC-DC controller.
• Experience of working with SiC and gate drivers
• Good knowledge and understanding of gate drivers and SiC FET operation.
• Experience of performing system simulation and control loop modelling.
• Well versed of working with lab equipment
• Sound knowledge on industrial and automotive regulatory standard and experience of complying the systems to such standards.
• Good knowledge of PCB design for high power density, EMI/EMC, thermal performance etc.
• Passionate for supporting customers and design/business wins .

B.Tech in ECE/Electrical Engineering or related technical field

M.Tech in ECE/Electrical Engineering or related technical field
