In this position...
As a Staff Electrical Systems Integration Engineer, Lighting, you will lead the electrical system design, integration and development of all lighting systems across the vehicle platform. You will lead the end-to-end integration of these systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product design, vehicle behavior definition, prototype bring-up, and debugging. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and performance of these systems, from concept through production. Your work will encompass a wide range of activities, from supplier interaction and design optimization to hardware/software integration and issue resolution.

What you'll do...
* Lead component hardware specification development for lighting control units and related components, collaborating with device owners and supply chain to source components
* Drive electrical architectural direction and decision-making for lighting subsystems, performing trade studies to optimize for cost and performance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and maintain robust lighting subsystem boundary and block diagrams
* Lead network interface development for networked components, collaborating with software and systems team to deliver network artifacts
* Define, develop, and integrate lighting features and functions, decomposing user stories and functional safety goals into system requirements
* Develop and mature exterior and interior lighting functional specifications, ensuring alignment with overall vehicle homologation and regulatory requirements.
* Own and approve Device Transmittals for lighting components, ensuring logical schematics and hardware interfaces are designed to meet all component requirements
* Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bring-up, debug, and engineering test of prototype bucks, labcars, and vehicles
