Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will assist with the month-end close, financial reporting and planning and analysis. In this role, you will review general ledger accounts for accuracy, process journal entries and complete balance sheet account reconciliations. You will also provide support with the P&L/Balance Sheet reporting and analytics. As the Staff Accountant you will also assist with AR and budget management projects. We are a small finance team and do cross-training to ensure sufficient backup resources are in place at all times.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Ability to process journal entries independently;
• Balance sheet reconciliations independently
• Role includes some accounting, financial analysis, reporting and special projects
• AR & AP cross training and support as needed
• Ad hoc reports to support Team
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Accounting degree
• 2-4 years overall accounting experience
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, have a thirst for learning, proven ability to multitask and prioritize
• Analytical problem solver who constantly strives to improve processes and procedures.
• Experience/exposure in manufacturing/CPG industry a plus
• Exposure to or interest in learning ERP system
• Flexible to act as back up/coverage to other team members are required (training will be provided)
