Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant include but are not limited to: + Prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP and the company's policies and procedures. Support entries with proper documentation and approvals. + Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts. Process and reconcile monthly lessor charges payments to general ledger at store level. + Responsible for assigned account reconciliations, variance analysis of Lessor Charges (CAM / INS / RET), Rent, Property Taxes, and /or Store Fixed Expenses. + Responsible for reporting for retail, non-retail, and/or subtenant locations. + Budget planning and analysis preparations related to assigned areas of responsibility. + Assist in preparation of assigned areas for quarterly and annual external audits. + Special projects as assigned. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for a Staff Accountant: + BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance. + 1-3 years of experience in property accounting and/or related areas preferred. + Strong analytical skills. + Strong understanding of accrual accounting. + Good oral and communication skills. + Advanced Excel / financial modeling rounded w/ a proficiency of MS Office Applications. + Hyperion, Tableau, & Visual Basic Application (VBA) familiarity a plus + PeopleSoft familiarity a plus. + Results & detail oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy. + Ability to work independently or as a team member on projects of all sizes, prioritizes multiple tasks, and performs accurately with short deadlines.
